Fine art print of a child, taken at an internally displaced persons camp in South Sudan. After the conflict with their Northern neighbour, thousands of families lost their homes and the ‘lucky’ ones ended up living in very basic camps until their safety could be assured to return home.
of Turkana women dancing for the arrival of a group I was part of. Tragically, this area of Turkana is extremely dangerous and all of the men in this small community (Todonyang) had been killed in local conflicts. Only women and children remained and are protected in this armed Internally Displaced Persons Camp. Not used to male visitors, this group of women continued to dance for me after the rest of my group had left, throwing themselves on the ground around me.
